A. I have 4 year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

B. I have 3 years of general experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-04. General experience includes analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinenet data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communciat effectively orally and in writing.

C. I do not meet the requirements of A or B above.

2. This section will be used to determine if you possess the education and/or specialized experience needed to qualify for a Visual Information Specialist, GS-1084-07. Failure to respond to this question will result in an ineligible rating.

A. I have a full year of graudate level education or superior academic achievement.

B. I have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-05. Specialized experience includes knowledge of methods, techniques, characteristics, user level maintenance and use of state-of-the-art electronic audio-visual imaging/projection systems, lighting and sound control systems e.g.., AMX Control systems including touch screen and button panel controllers, in-line audio/video matrix switching units. Audio and Video Player Units. Bose audio systems. Vortex and audio mixers. Lectronsonic sound mixer/amplifier. Shure audio systems, Fender portable audio systems. Polycom. Tandberg and Picturetel videoconference and multipoint control units.

C. My experience and/or education is not reflected in statement A or B above.

3. This section will be used to determine if you possess the education and/or specialized experience needed to qualify for a Visual Information Specialist, GS-1084-09. Failure to respond to this question will result in an ineligible rating.

A. I have a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree.

B. I have 2 full years of progresively higher level graudate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

C. I have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-7. Specialized experience includes Knowleldge of software (Microsoft power point, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and Media Player) used to present large screen display images and VTC services. Knowledge of, and ability to apply, proper protocol procedures. Knowledge of management policies, practices and procedures applicable to an AV and VTC facility.

D. My experience and/or education is not reflected in any of the above statements.

4. Select the one statement that best describes the education and/or experience that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of Visual Information Specialist at the GS-1084-11 grade level or equivalent pay band. Your resume must support the response you select.

A. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes planning the preparation and use of photographs, illustrations, drawings, and other art work, charts, diagrams, dioramas, maps, slides, overlays, and other kinds of visual material for use in communicating information through visual means.

B. I have successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. [remove LL.M., if unrelated] with a major study in or related fields in commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication.

C. I have less than the full amount of specialized experience described in “A” above; however, I have completed some education as described in “B” above. Therefore, I have a combination of experience as described in "A" and education as described in "B" above. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official college transcripts.

D. My experience and/or education is not reflected in any of the above statements.
