1. To qualify for a GS-14 position, the candidate must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 level that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience must include activities such as: 1) The conduct of counterintelligence investigations, collections, operations, and counterintelligence functional services in accordance with the applicable laws, policies, and Departmental guidance; 2) the analysis of potential threats and vulnerabilities, determination of the level of risk, and development and recommendation of appropriate mitigation countermeasures in support of homeland security operations; 3) interpretation of specialized datasets or other intelligence regarding a target's technological capabilities and production of intelligence assessments that explain their impact on Homeland security operations; and 4) coordination with internal and external stakeholders to develop new sources of intelligence information.
