Knowledge of the theory, principles and methods of fish and wildlife biology, fishery biology, and/or wildlife biology and a working familiarity with related disciplines, such as would be obtained through a college major in the appropriate discipline or its equivalent, and additional professional work experience or professional education in the appropriate discipline, in order to determine the effects of land and water development projects on the fish and wildlife resources of an area. Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of conservation biology and ecology, in order to determine the effects of
land and water development projects on the fish and wildlife resources of an area.

Conduct reviews of projects for potential fish and wildlife resource problems.

Conduct investigations of the status, life history requirements, habitat availability, and conservation/recovery needs for various wildlife including threatened or endangered species, candidate species, and other species of special concern.

Participate in conservation and recovery planning efforts for listed species.

Conduct compliance monitoring of projects or mitigation/restoration.
