3. I understand the following conditions of employment:

I must possess a valid US Passport; I must be physically fit and able to walk 10 miles a day, lift and carry 70 lbs, ride a bicycle, and be able to perform repetitive stooping and bending motions; extensive travel is required i.e., 7 nights per week for approximately 6 months; swimming in ponds, lakes, moving water, and/or coastal aquatic environments is a requirement of this position; I must possess American Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification (within 2 months of hire); I work may require working evenings, weekends and holidays; I must possess, or be able to obtain and maintain USFWS approved certification(s) within 12 months of employment, the following certifications: All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Certification, Utility-terrain vehicle (UTV) Certification, and Pesticide Certification; I understand snorkeling is a requirement of this position for direct observation; I am required to respond to alarms on the evenings and weekends, as assigned (Alarm must be responded to timely in order to ensure specimens remain viable); and, this position requires wearing an official U.S. Fish and Wildlife uniform. Incumbent is required to obtain and properly wear uniform components in accordance with Service policy. The immediate supervisor will determine the components appropriate/specific for the position.
