5. Do you possess a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)? Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the school of social work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work. Verification of the degree can be made by going to the CSWE website (https://cswe.org/) to verify if that social work degree meets the accreditation standards for a master of social work. 6. Are you licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level? (limit characters)
7. Do you possess one year of post-Masters in Social Work (MSW) experience in the field of health care social work or in addition to the basic requirement do you have a doctoral degree in social work from the school of social work which may be substituted for the one year of professional experience in a clinical setting? Creditable experience includes independently practicing social work in areas such as inpatient/outpatient medicine, surgery, mental health, neurology, rehabilitation medicine and geriatrics.
