Eligibilities

Are you currently employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs?
This includes: Career/Career Conditional or Excepted Service (i.e. Canteen, Hybrid, Title 38, etc. and meets interchange agreement requirements). This does not include temporary, term or temporary intermittent.
To verify your eligibility, you must submit a copy of your most recent Notification of Personnel Action, Standard Form 50 (SF-50). Your SF-50 must include enough information to be able to determine that time-in-grade requirements have been met (if applicable) and include your position title, pay plan/series/grade, tenure and the type of appointment (i.e. Competitive or Excepted). Please be aware that award SF-50's do not always include this pertinent information.

Do you possess current, full, active and unrestricted licensure as a professional nurse practitioner in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States?

Do you possess a full or current certification as a nurse practitioner from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body?

Do you have a nurse practitioner certification/credential that is in the specialty for which you are applying, such as such as Adult Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner?

Do you have a minimum of a Master's degree in nursing with a BSN; or Master's degree in a related field with a BSN; or a Master's degree in nursing with a bachelor's degree in a related field with approximately 2-3 years clinical experience as an RN [If MSN obtained in a Bridge Program, no BSN required]; or Doctoral degree in nursing or related field with approximately 2-3 years clinical experience as an RN?
