Required to sign a continued Service Agreement to continue employment within the Department of Defense (DoD) for 3 years following the completion of the apprenticeship. Persons who have reached the journeyman level in the Machinist trade or have completed a 4-year formal apprenticeship program are not eligible. Have you reached the journeyman level in the Machinist trade or have completed a 4-year formal apprenticeship program?

This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health & ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. Are you willing to submit to a pre-employment physical and willing to maintain a level of physical fitness to obtain and maintain employment as required?
5.
Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime. Are you willing to work overtime as required by management to meet work requirements?

This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer. Are you willing to use employer-provided PPE as required?

Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment. Are you willing to submit the proper documentation to have a background investigation completed?

Selectees must meet the basic educational requirements (General Educational Development (GED) diploma accepted or higher education) by November 2018 to be enrolled in an established degree program that will be taught at a local college or training institution. Attendance for the academic courses will be off post, on the apprentice's own time, without compensation. Apprentice is responsible for his/her own transportation. Are you willing to provide your own transportation?
