Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes a mastery knowledge of television, digital, and media broadcasting and production methods and techniques with the proven ability to develop creative coverage and programming concepts that will attract Chinese speaking audiences. Experience must demonstrate managing a staff at a major multimedia news-gathering organization and knowledge of the China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong and the relationship with the region and the United States.

Extensive knowledge of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China's relationships with the U.S., the region, and the world to drive high impact coverage and to enforce top editorial standards.

Ability to grasp the implications of policy and procedural changes, and the ability to make sound recommendations for implementation based on management experience and knowledge of news operations.
