EXECUTIVE CORE QUALIFICATIONS (ECQs): All applicants must submit proof that they meet all 5 ECQs. If you fail to do so, your application will be rated as 'ineligible' and you will not receive further consideration. Additional information on the ECQs is available at:  OPM's Guide to the Senior Executive Service Qualifications (PDF file). You must address each ECQ under its own sub-heading. ECQ narratives must not exceed 10 pages total. For each ECQ, your examples should be from the last 10 years and demonstrate the majority of the competencies for that specific ECQ.
NOTE: Current career SES members, former career SES members with reinstatement eligibility, and SES Candidate Development Program graduates who have been certified by OPM do NOT need to address the ECQs.

8. Knowledge of and experience in applying laws, regulations, executive orders, and associated policies governing Federal information technology (IT) management sufficient to advise senior officials and provide oversight for the development and administration of organization-wide IT policies, programs, and projects.

Demonstrated experience evaluating emerging information technology and applying forward thinking concepts to deliver business solutions that support an organization-wide work environment with dynamic and diverse needs. Examples should address experience with secure and remote access for a geographically dispersed workforce with diverse needs, cloud computing, mobile devices, and innovative communication tools (e.g., instant messaging, video-conferencing, etc.). 10. Demonstrated experience developing and leading customer-focused initiatives that provide efficient, cost-effective, and secure IT tools and services that are compliant with Federal requirements, enable mission capabilities, and provide reliable service to customers.
