At least one (1) year of specialized experience (as defined below) equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14), in a field which is directly related to this line of work, AND, are you fluent in the Spanish language, sufficient to apply journalism principles, principles, practices and methods, AND, do you have a comprehensive knowledge of Cuba, its people, history, politics, culture and institutions, including a knowledge of Cuba's National and regional media usage patterns.
Specialized Experience is experience: Developing and implementing strategies for future growth opportunities in a Spanish-language broadcasting environment; Establishing and managing a digital newsroom, including understanding: (1) fundamental staffing requirements, (2) organizational design, and (3) the ability to address matters unique to Spanish-language broadcasting and in the greater media space; and Adapting production elements to a multimedia platform, for example: radio, TV, and Internet, including social media.
