TIME IN GRADE (IATG): For this vacancy, applicants must have held grade GS-4 or higher for at least one (1) full year to be eligible for a GS-5 position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (IQSE): Please select one response that reflects your experience or education. GS-5 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-4) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as experience in accomplishing the daily operations of the Beneficiary Travel Program for impatient and outpatient transportation needs. Examples of specialized experience includes, but is not limited to: 1) Determining patient eligibility for transportation by coordinating with the clinical provider to ensure means of transportation requested is medically necessary; 2) Coordinating transportation arrangements to and from the hospital for patient transfers; 3) Coordinating all incoming transportation needs for active duty patients and requesting military evacuation for transferring military patients; 4) Preparing the daily special mode travel schedule for Motor Vehicle Operators; 5) Providing reports conducting presentations regarding the Beneficiary Travel Program; 6) Managing the patient fund system for the Beneficiary Travel Program OR possess 4 years of education above high school OR possess a combination of specialized experience and education to qualify at the GS-5 level. Only education beyond high school in excess of the first 60 semester hours (beyond the second year of undergraduate school) is creditable toward meeting specialized experience when combining education and experience.
