Specialized experience is experience that required application of the knowledge, methods, and techniques of the position to be filled. Examples of this specialized experience would include, but not limited to the following: Monitoring vital signs, administering medication, assessing body systems, monitoring life support equipment, and implementing care plans; recognizing and responding to life threatening situations utilizing appropriate emergency treatment. Work experience in which you were responsible for a number of technical procedures, e.g., inserting intravenous catheters, performing venipunctures and arterial punctures, assisting in emergency surgery, splinting, suture removal, ear irrigations, inserting nasogastric, basic IV fluids, oxygen. Work experience which demonstrate assisting physicians with specialized monitoring, diagnostic and treatment procedures.
