1. You must possess at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing Air Traffic Control (ATC) services to ensure safety of aircrafts, vehicles, and personnel; 2) Monitoring and evaluating air traffic and terminal deficiencies to implement corrective action; and 3) Interpreting and applying ATC regulations and laws to ensure efficient work practices. 4. Knowledge and ability to direct movement of aircraft in flight and on the ground by utilizing pilot and controller reports, visual observation, and/or tower and radar facility radar displays, or a combination of methods and in close coordination with other controllers. (limit characters)
5. Skill and able to perform under restrictive time and space limitations, formulate and issue ATC clearances and instructions to provide for the required separation and or sequencing of all IFR, SVFR, and VFR traffic within delegated airspace. (limit characters)
6. Direct approach turns or aircraft away from other traffic considering wind, weather, and aircraft capabilities to determine the proper sequence of operations. (limit characters)
7. Determine information necessary (e.g., course, range, altitude) for aircraft to conduct precision final approaches to the airport. (limit characters)
8. Provide assistance to both experienced professional and inexperienced student pilots within the airspace and ensures expeditious traffic flows are maintained. (limit characters)
