8. Install, program and troubleshoot electronic data acquisition and data transmission equipment including data loggers used to store data and radios which transmit hydrometeorological data from remote mountain weather stations, such as SNOTEL sites.

9. Use standard Geographic Information System (GIS) applications to create spatial products.

10. Develop snow survey products such as surface water supply indexes (SWSI), soil moisture products, snowpack and precipitation products, streamflow forecasts and others for use by water users, the research community, other government entities, and the public.

11. Troubleshoot and resolve electronic sensor malfunctions as part of hydrometeorological data gathering site which typically include but are not limited to: pressure transducers, snow "pillows", acoustic based snow depth sensors, wind sensors, and many forms of precipitation measuring equipment.

12. Interpret numerical water supply forecasts for area or jurisdiction.

13. Convey the significance of forecasts to a general audience and the media in a concise and direct manner.
