Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.

2. Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience in ALL of the following areas:

Administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows (2016 or 2019) and/or RHEL (RHEL 6 and 7) in a multi-tenant, enterprise environment;
Deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting virtual server systems on the VMware vSphere v6.5 or higher platform at enterprise scale supporting users across multiple locations;
Implementing and maintaining and Microsoft Windows (2016 or 2019) and/or RHEL (RHEL 5, 6, and 7) architecture design and platform deployment programs in a large and diverse enterprise environment;
Defining and implementing Windows or RHEL deployable packages and patch deployment methodologies including the creation of scripts to apply specific patch bundles to Microsoft Windows and RHEL servers;
System automation experience on the BMC TrueSight System Automation (TSSA) platform deploying custom scripts and applying security patches against Microsoft Windows and RHEL platforms; and
Proficiency with troubleshooting mid-sized Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO) issues.
