Eligibilities

All on-board National Guard Title 32 Excepted Technicians within the state for which you are applying (Title 32 Permanent and Excepted Indefinite). Are you a current on-board National Guard Title 32 Excepted Technician within the state for which this position is being advertised?

This is an indefinite excepted position open nationwide including, members assigned to the Texas Army National Guard. This position required dual status membership in a compatible military assignment within the military grade specified in the Texas Army National Guard. (32 U.S.C. 709) Incumbent will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Indefinite appointments are used when there is a need for a temporary position to extend beyond one year or management expects the position to become permanent at some time in the future. Competitive procedures must be used when filling a position on an indefinite basis. This position is not recommended for current Permanent technicians as they will lose their PERMANENT TENURE status and convert to INDEFINITE TENURE status.

Do you have at least 36 months experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization, AND experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls, AND experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment, AND experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion?

Applicants must either have one of the current minimum baseline certifications appropriate for IAT Level II (Security+, GSEC or SSCP) or agree as a condition of employment that the certification will be optained within six (6) months from appointment and kept current.
