Retrieve and download hydrologic data from data loggers, ensuring data integrity and quality.

Assist in establishing vertical and horizontal datum using equipment such as optical or laser leveling devices.

Make surface-water stream-discharge measurements at all stages, often under extremely adverse conditions, using standard current meters or volumetric methods in streams or from bridges.
7.
Make stream discharge measurements according to standard protocols.
8.
Operate, maintain, and process data from equipment such as Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP) and Acoustic Velocity Meters (AVM).
9.
Install, operate, and maintain submersible pressure transducers in wells and streams for the purpose of establishing continuous stage and/or elevation record.
10.
Check the quality of records of ground-water elevation; evaluate any discrepancies in the water level data, and associated well construction, location, and vertical datum records; apply necessary corrections; and prepare final records for publication.
11.
Perform data entry, editing, and retrieval tasks in the processing of hydrologic dating using ADAPS, QWDATA, GWSI or other hydrologic databases.
12.
Compute continuous water quality monitoring records using standard methods and protocols.
13.
Compute and check surface water records.
14.
Operate small and medium sized watercraft in lakes, rivers, and estuaries in a safe manner during adverse weather conditions.
15.
Test and troubleshoot hydrologic instrumentation such as satellite data collection platforms (DCP`s), Electronic data loggers (EDLs), and associated systems (includes the float tape systems, shaft encoders, cables, antennas, power systems, etc.) in the office and in the field. (GS-05/06)
16.
Compute and analyze streamflow data using Aquarius Time Series. (GS-06)
17.
Develop stage versus discharge ratings using graphical computer tools. (GS-07)
18.
Apply shifts and data correction to stream flow records following specific guidelines and procedures. (GS-05/06)
