Specialized Experience

2. Specialized Experience for GS-11

A. I qualify for this position at the GS-11 level because I have one year of full-time, specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) that involved duties such as: managing pests and invasive species, prevention, control, and eradication.

B. Successful completion of at least three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in a field directly related to one of the following disciplines: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, or chemistry.

C. I do not have the education or experience as described above.

3. Specialized Experience for GS-12

A. I qualify for this position at the GS-12 level because I have one year of full-time, specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) that involved duties such as: habitat management, particularly as it pertains to managing pests and invasive species and their existing and potential impacts on wildlife, plants and their habitats and natural resource health.

B. I do not meet the additional specialized experience requirement as described above.

Knowledge in prevention, control and eradication techniques and projects using integrated pest management practices (including biological, cultural, mechanical and chemical tools) for all pest situations and infestations, including providing technical leadership for projects.
