1. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT - Do you have the ability to perform Maintenance Worker duties without more than normal supervision? Duties include knowledge of the
location/function of numerous pumps, valves, regulators and gauges. Knowledge of the chemical and physical characteristics of fuels and principles of combustion, steam generation and heat transfer. Knowledge of the relationship between fuel quality and efficient combustion characteristics in accordance with environmental law and a thorough knowledge of procedures or adjustments during combustion to control pollutants in flue emissions with the use of a combustion gas analyzer. Knowledge of water tending, analysis and basic chemical treatments. Ability to recognize malfunctioning equipment/systems and potentially dangerous operating conditions.
