Clean and disinfect barns, pens, and other animal shelters and dispose of manure and straw in the manner prescribed.

Ability to take temperatures of animals as required.

Aiding in births, and caring for agricultural or farm animals.

Feeds designated diets to specific animals in the amounts and procedure specified by the experimental protocols.

Accurately weighing and recording the amount on each individual animal record form.

Ability to carry out recurring duties in accordance to vocal general instructions.

Ability to read and follow instructions and work schedules regarding animal care and nutrition needs.
9.
Operate equipment including 1/2 to 1 ton trucks and tractors.
10.
Use computers to enter animal data.

Please select your level of ability to observe animals for signs of abnormal conditions and report to supervisor or professional employees involved.

Observes and reports all animals showing signs of digestive disturbances (off feed, scours, foundering, etc.) to appropriate personnel.
13.
Please select your level of ability to observe animals for heat periods during breeding season and for signs of calving and performs various duties during birth of animals.
14.
Exercise caution and good judgment when working around animals in confined areas so as to avoid injury or fright to animals.
