Registered Nurses appointed to direct patient care positions must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d). Are you proficient in both spoken and written English?

Do you possess a current, full, active and unrestricted registration as a registered nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e. Puerto Rico) of the U.S. or in the District of Columbia.?

All Registered Nurses must have graduated from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State agency AND accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) OR the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an accrediting arm of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) at the time of graduation. In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing; possession of current, full, active, and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school. Also, the completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study.
