Preference Eligible Veterans and Certain Military Spouses (Including VEOA Eligibles)

Land & Base Management Agency Employees

Family of Overseas Employees
If you're currently overseas with a family member, and moving back to the United States, you may be eligible to apply for competitive service positions. if you meet all of the following: (1) You're living overseas with a family member, who is officially assigned to an overseas duty station; (2) you're the family member's spouse, domestic partner, or unmarried child younger than 23; and (3) you've worked at least 52 weeks in an appropriated fund position, under a local hire appointment. and (4) you've received a successful or equivalent performance rating during your time on the job.  You must submit documentation verifying this eligibility with your application; this may include (but is not limited to) your qualifying family member's SF-50: Notification of Personnel Action and other deployment or duty station orders documentation.

OPM Interchange Agreements & Miscellaneous Authorities
Some agencies have established Interchange Agreements with the Office of Personnel Management which allow their employees to apply with other status candidates. You must be an excepted service employee on a non-time-limited appointment, at a Federal agency with an existing interchange agreement in order to qualify under this eligibility. National Service (Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, VISTA)
If you have served in a qualifying National Service organizations such as the PeaceCorps or AmeriCorps / VISTA, you may also qualify for this eligibility if you've met the service length requirements.

Disabled Veterans
