Operate and maintain high performance liquid chromatography systems.

Utilize Chromeleon software to analyze ion chromatography data output.

Prepare sediment samples for chemical laboratory analysis, including samples for trace organic and inorganic analysis, and analysis of redox-sensitive chemical species.

Use, repair, and maintain High-Temperature Combustion Total Organic Carbon Analyzers.
10.
Makes laboratory determinations of nutrient (nitrogen and phosphorus) parameters on sediment, water, and plant material.

Assists in logistical preparations for field work, including remote work that may involve transportation by helicopter, small aircraft, or small boat.
12.
Conduct quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) for all aspects of scientific work, including the development and use of standard operating procedures, and scientific data entries, retrievals, and proofing.

Use field sampling techniques and devices and standard methods to record observations under a structured Quality Assurance program.
14.
Perform all aspects of data management, including data entry, quality assurance, and archiving to meet research objectives.
