2. This position is a Renewable Term Appointment Not to Exceed 6 years. The status of this position is considered "time limited" and can be renewed as needed to support the mission, in up to 6 year increments. If the incoming incumbent is already a Permanent status employee, that person will retain their Permanent status while occupying the "time limited" position. However, if/when the "time limited" position is no longer required for the mission, the Permanent status employee will be placed in a comparable grade/position within the organization.
