Thank you for your interest in this Term Appointment - Note-to-Exceed (NTE 2 Years) position of Carpenter with the Department of Veterans Affairs located in Marion, Indiana.
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards for the WG-4600, Wood Work Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Those applicants who appear to possess at least the minimal acceptable qualification requirement are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated.
