5. Conducts inspections in assigned area of responsibility ensuring the staff maintains housekeeping aid closet, and/or area assigned, in a sanitary and orderly manner. (limit characters)
6. Instructions received from supervisor are relayed to the work group in the correct manner so that the assigned work is accomplished in accordance with the quality established for sanitation. (limit characters)
7. Adhering to safety policies and procedures when performing manual work. (limit characters)
8. Makes a verbal report to the supervisor as required outlining safety deficiencies found and makes sure that necessary corrections are made until the deficiency is reported corrected to the supervisor. (limit characters)
9. During the absence of the supervisor, assumes responsibility of scheduling assignments and adjusting workload to accomplish required task with minimal interference or deferment of assignments required by supervisory personnel. (limit characters)
10. Follows written and oral instructions from higher level service personnel and department policies and procedures in the accomplishment of daily assignments. (limit characters)
11. Use proper lifting techniques when lifting objects especially those that may be bulky and/or awkward. (limit characters)

17. Performing routine maintenance on cleaning equipment such as changing filters and brushes on vacuum cleaners and floor buffers. (limit characters)
18. Ensures EMS staff keeps housekeeping chemicals or supplies are maintained under personal control or locked in a secure area, meeting Service safety procedures. (limit characters)
19. Pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying or moving cleaning equipment around for several hours or more at a time. (limit characters)

Use proper procedures in dust mopping, damp mopping, emptying waste receptacles, emptying and replacing medical waste receptacle, washing walls, cleaning light fixtures, and surfaces as necessary, refilling toilet tissue, paper towels and soap dispensers.
