BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

4. Education: You must be a graduate of a PA training program which is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or one of its predecessor organizations. Additionally, candidates must meet one of the following:
(1) Master's degree in any discipline;
OR
(2) Bachelor's degree in any discipline with one year of experience as a PA.

A. Yes, I am a graduate of a training program which is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of PA (ARC-PA) or one of its predecessor organizations AND I possess a Master's Degree.

B. Yes, I am a graduate of a training program which is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of PA (ARC-PA) or one of its predecessor organizations AND I have a Bachelor's degree with one year of experience as a PA.

C. I am a PA employed in the Veterans Healthcare Administration in this occupational series on or before September 27, 2020 and I meet the Grandfathering provisions and possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited PA training program or in another health science related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. OR I am a PA on VA rolls prior to September 5, 2014 and I do not possess a Bachelor's degree.
