Work with Large Carnivores (limit characters)
4. This position requires incumbents to work with large carnivores and the following experience is required:
  • Ability to perform strenuous duties - working in extreme weather conditions, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, hiking and walking over rough terrain and working at night;
  • Experience working with large carnivores (bears, coyotes and wolves are qualifying) tracking, tagging and collaring large carnivores with radio telemetry - this experience must be reflected in your resume;
  • Experience preparing anesthesia and pharmaceutical mixtures with wolves, coyotes and bears (GS-06 grade level);
  • Experience with shotgun hazing, specifically ability to use a shotgun with less than lethal rounds (GS-06 grade level).
