Thank you for your interest in a Recreation Therapist (Program Coordinator) position with the VHA. The following will determine that you meet the minimum qualifications for this position. Please refer to the qualifications section of the announcement for more information on minimum qualifications.
The following questions will address basic eligibility requirements for the Creative Therapist (Program Coordinator) position. Please select "Yes" or "No" to the following question(s).

This position requires that applicants be a citizen of the United States. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Handbook 5005, part II, chapter 3, section A, paragraph 3g. Do you meet this requirement?

Applicants must be proficient in spoken and written English in accordance with VA Handbook 5005, part II, chapter 3, section A, paragraph 3j. Do you meet this requirement?

Have you earned one of the following: (1)A bachelor's degree or higher, from an accredited college or university, with a major in therapeutic recreation or recreation/leisure, with an option and/or emphasis in therapeutic recreation [the degree must be approved by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)] --OR-- (2)A bachelor's degree or higher in any field from an accredited college or university and must also be a certified therapeutic recreation specialist (CTRS) [the degree must be approved by the NCTRC].
