3. Develop environmental implementation policy and guidance for Department planning, projects, and activities to determine the effects of DHS activities at the department level.

Serve as an advisor to management officials on program issues concerning environmental protection and compliance such as pollution abatement, prevention and control of contaminates of air, soil and water, sewage, sanitation, noise, an/or other potential pollution sources included in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
