2. Manage the records and information management program. Manage the creation, dissemination, research, storage and disposition of Federal records. Process and review Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act requests and denials to ensure they meet FOIA policies and procedures. Establishes policies and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient management of the FOIA/Privacy Requester Service Center. Establishes metrics and analysis to ensure actions are timely and reviewed at critical points and provide monthly reports on FOIA requests to senior management. Provide training, guidance and resolve problems affecting records management operations. (limit characters)
3. Leads and contribute to development of a comprehensive program of training in various forms (i.e., in person and web-based), to include the creation of role-based, tiered, and tailored training to assure all personnel, as well as contractors, are fully informed of their personal responsibilities to support and contribute to a Command's consistent achievement of RM standards, including those particular to the Command and cyberspace program community. 4. Assure organization or command meets all reporting requirements for its use of EIS to meet RM requirement, such as providing necessary updates to the Defense Information Technology Portfolio Repository (DITPR), System of Records Notices (SORN), and Privacy Information Assessments (PIAs) to identify and determine what EIS are in use and whether the systems contain records that need to be scheduled. 5. Develop policies, procedures, and instructions to meet mandatory FOIA requirements. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Research and determine appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact organization, installation, command, or agency. Approves organizational plans ensuring only the use, collection and maintenance of information that are authorized by laws, orders and other guidance. (limit characters)
6. Knowledge of federal regulations and DoD policies and standards governing all phases of the RM function, and ability to select from among and apply these guidelines to provide implementation guidelines for supported programs, and to advise program managers on application to complex situations.
