Use proper gear for handling artifacts, i.e. cotton or vinyl gloves in accordance to established standards to prevent further damage or deterioration.

Identify and label museum objects according to established standards.
14.
Perform daily and cyclical cleaning of museum objects according to approved plans and established standards.

Photograph and document collection following established standards for item cataloging.
16.
Execute basic preservation techniques (i.e. application of protective coatings, barriers, films) to historic and archival collections to ensure longevity.
17.
Implement environmental monitoring plan for museum storage and exhibit areas to observe the museum environment.
18.
Utilize museum collections management software, or other professionally approved museum software to catalog and inventory the collection.
19.
Operate computer software for word processing, and produce spreadsheets (i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
20.
Use social media and on-line platforms to share digital resources (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, etc).
21.
Use dataloggers, light monitors, and other similar equipment to monitor and record the museum environment.
