Professional Technical Qualifications (PTQs)

1. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex positions and policies related to patent processing, and the ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders and colleagues and provide options/ alternatives to remedy problems and identify opportunities associated with a technically complex organization. 2. Demonstrated ability to manage resources to provide technical and organizational leadership to develop, evaluate, appropriately integrate and oversee programs in the patent business areas. This includes knowledge of effective resource acquisition and utilization principles, production measurements concepts, and motivational techniques. (limit 10,000 characters)
3. Expert working knowledge of the procedural, technical and legal issues associated with patent application processes and functions, from pre-examination to post-grant, sufficient to make recommendations for business processes and system improvements. (limit 10,000 characters)
4. Experience in directing, supervising and evaluating the activities of a professional organization. Ability to develop and achieve organizational goals; delegate assignments; motivate subordinates, teams, and individuals; and establish and maintain a positive working environment.
