You must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible: A) a current student in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0 or higher; OR B) accepted for enrollment, or will be accepted for enrollment, and seeking a degree in a qualifying educational institution (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges; professional, technical, vocational, and trade school; advanced degree programs; or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate in an academic field related to the duties of this position. A. Specialized experience may include: Assisting in data gathering techniques, methodologies, and procedures; Assisting in conducting archeological excavation activities; Assisting in creating and conducting oral and visual presentations.

B. I have completed 4 academic year of post-high school education from an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in a discipline appropriate to the position.

C. I have a combination of general experience and education as described above that when combined, equals 100% of the total requirement. Note: to determine your total qualifying experience, we will determine a percentage of the experience required for the GS-05 grade level; then determine the percentage of the education required for the GS-05; then add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level.

D. I do not meet the requirements of A, B, or C above.

C. I have a bachelor's degree AND meet one of the Superior Academic Achievement Provisions. 1. Maintained a grade-point average of "B" (a GPA of 3.0 or higher) for all completed undergraduate courses, or those completed in the last two years of undergraduate study, -OR- 2. Maintained a grade-point average of "B+" (a GPA of 3.5 or higher) for all courses in your major field of study, or those courses in your major completed in the last two years of undergraduate study, -OR- 3. Rank in the upper one-third of your class in the college, university, or major subdivision, -OR- 4. Be a member of a national honor (other than freshman honor societies) recognized by the Association of College Honor societies.
