Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards for the WG-4200 Plumbing And Pipefitting Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. 3. WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION - Do you have the ability to do the work of a Journeyman pipefitter without more than normal supervision that includes Journeyman level experience performing pipefitting work in a hospital or commercial setting. This experience involves the repair, modification, and installation of high temperature water and high-pressure piping systems and equipment such as steam-generating, steam-heating, oxygen, nitrogen, and hydraulic systems, radiators, vacuum and condensate pumps, and expansion tanks; using a variety of hand tools; reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals. Note: This experience must be clearly identified and supported in your resume by describing the types of systems and your work practices.
