All Registered Nurses must have graduated from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State agency AND accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN formerly the NLNAC) OR the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) at the time of graduation. If the college you graduated from has lost their accreditation and you know the school was accredited at the time you graduated, please provide proof of the accreditation so you will not be marked ineligible.
In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing; possession of current, full, active, and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school. Also, the completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in an MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study.
