3. Incumbent is certified as a medical gas installer and maintains yearly recertification. (limit characters)
4. Installs, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots all plumbing fixtures, commercial and residential, to include toilets, urinals, sinks, lavatories, bathtub and showers, physiotherapy equipment, safety showers and eyewashes, bedpan sanitizers and digesters. (limit characters)
5. Installs, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots all plumbing faucets and control valves (limit characters)
6. Maintains, repairs, replaces and installs sanitary and storm waste lines, vent lines and all drainage lines. (limit characters)
7. Assists other crafts and trades in diagnosing and repairing piping problems in the hospitals systems, such as with the air conditioning shop on heating ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) and equipment to maintain proper climate control, and with the Utility Systems Repair/Operators and Maintenance Mechanics to make repairs to dietetic equipment. 8. Repairs, replaces and installs piping, fittings, components and auxiliary equipment on these systems. (limit characters)
9. Periodically checks high pressure piping, traps, valves, control fittings and auxiliary equipment of steam equipment, gas-fired equipment and steam, gas and water distribution systems for defects. (limit characters)
10. Disassembles, repairs, re-pack and replaces damaged fittings, pipe sections or fabricates replacement and eliminates leaks by repacking valves, replacing faulty fittings and replacing sections of pipe. (limit characters)
11. Troubleshoots and repairs non-operating systems, using hand tools, both manual and powered, blueprints, schematics and written and verbal instructions and advice from manufacturers and suppliers. (limit characters)
12. On projects, the incumbent plans and lays out assigned work and estimates necessary materials and time needed to accomplish task. (limit characters)
13. Works off blueprints, sketches, schematics, manufacturers' manuals and installation instructions so work is finished within the construction timeline. (limit characters)
14. Installs all type of piping, to include, black iron, galvanized, cast iron, malleable, copper, brass, plastic and glass by threading, soft soldering, silver soldering, pro press, brazing, and heat or chemically fusing fittings onto pipe sections or using gasketed mechanical fittings. 15. Accomplishes the core-drilling required for the Engineering shops, and at times, for other services, and occasionally for a contractor as instructed. (limit characters)
16. Performs the scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned systems and equipment. (limit characters)
