Follow laboratory protocols in collecting, measuring and reporting scientific data.

Maintain and operate field and laboratory equipment that includes standard fisheries sampling gear.

Deploy and retrieve a variety of fish sampling and research gear from large vessels, including trawls, gillnets and towable equipment.

Collect samples of fish tissue, algae, and invertebrates.
6.
Organize and prepare equipment and supplies for field work.

Collect and preserve field and laboratory sampled water, fish, invertebrates, phytoplankton, and zooplankton for chemical and further laboratory investigation.
