1. Basic Requirements for GS-13 and Above, Contract Specialist
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the Basic Requirements for a Contracting position. Select the response that most closely and accurately describes your background which demonstrates how you meet the basic requirement. Select only one response and do not leave blank.

A. I have completed all mandatory training for FAC-C Level III and/or DAWIA Level III certification and have attached my certificate; AND I have successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.

B. I have been employed by a Federal agency in the Contracting Series GS-1102 at a grade level equivalent to the position being filled since January 1, 2000.

C. I possess a waiver of the requirements as listed in A above.

D. I do not meet any of the requirements described above.

2. Minimum Qualification, GS-13, Contract Specialist

A. I have 1 year of specialized experience that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples include: Performing the full scope of the acquisition cycle with contract authority for all acquisition functions; analyzing operational needs and making decisions on award of contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements; providing technical oversight to Project officers in all phases of the acquisition cycle; providing supervisory oversight to acquisition staff; establishing goals and objectives and monitoring and evaluating progress of same.

B. I do not have the experience as described in the above statement.
