4. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

To qualify for the position, you must possess the specialized experience that equips you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position at, above (or) equivalent to the next lower grade level. The required specialized experience for this position includes:
  • applying current Intranet/Internet technologies, standard Internet/Intranet protocols, usability concepts (i.e., navigational aids, site architecture), accessibility factors and standards and programming and scripting languages to provide guidance in determining the most appropriate methods for delivering information via the Internet/Intranet.
  • training, utilization, and research regarding principles, concepts, policies, and objectives applicable to the agency
  • use of qualitative and quantitative methods and techniques for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems
  • analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and technical programs accounting for mission, organization, and work processes of programs through the agency and the relationships of administrative support activities to such missions
  • training, utilization and research regarding administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of Internet and Intranet programs and systems
  • extensive experience planning, organizing and directing team study work and negotiating effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations
  • understanding and use of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products and components to ensure optimal use of commercially available products.
  • maintaining current knowledge of new and emerging information technologies and/or industry trends
  • analyzing data to prepare and present reports

16. Provides web development assistance and advice to other VA health care systems to ensure web sites comply with VA regulations. Provides education and support in web development and design. (limit characters)
17. Maintain relations with VHA Web Communications, VA Web Operations, VA Web Solutions and ECMS Support for ongoing support, policy updates, new feature enhancements, troubleshooting, and feedback. (limit characters)
18. Assists with website support for VISN in the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic. (limit characters)
19. Independently researches and evaluates new and emerging methods for web product development and assesses these methods with respect to their suitability for potential costs and benefits and adaptability to organizational requirements. (limit characters)
