1. Basic Requirements for GS-1320: Choose the one answer that best describes your education and experience as it pertains to the mandatory basic requirements for Chemists.

A. I have completed all requirements for a bachelor’s degree in physical science, life science, or engineering, that included 30 semester hours or the equivalent in chemistry, supplemented by course work in mathematics through differential and integral calculus, and at least 6 semester hours or the equivalent physics.

B. I have a combination of education and experience/coursework equivalent to a major, including at least 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by math through differential and integral calculus, and 6 semester hours of physics, plus appropriate experience and/or additional education.

C. I do not meet any of the requirements as described above.

2. GS-09: In addition to meeting the Basic Requirements, you must have professional experience, graduate education, or a combination of professional experience and graduate education. Select the one response below that best describes your education and/or experience.

A. I possess at least 2 years of graduate level education leading to a master’s degree in chemistry or other directly related field of study or master’s or equivalent graduate in chemistry or other directly related field of study.
