Conditions of Employment
This position has requirements which must be met prior to employment, and conditions for continued employment. Your answers to the questions in this section will indicate your understanding of, or possession of, these requirements and conditions.

The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles. Do you currently possess or are you willing and able to obtain and maintain a valid license to comply with the requirement?

This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. Are you willing and able to report to work or remain at work under adverse conditions to obtain and maintain this position?
3.
This position requires certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation with Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training. Are you currently certified or willing and able to obtain and maintain CPR certification with AED training?
4.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Are you willing and able to work an assigned shift to meet work requirements?

This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment. This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition. (False or fraudulent information provided by candidates is criminally punishable by fine or imprisonment per 18 U.S.C. Section 1001). Are you willing and able to obtain and maintain eligibility for this position based on the provisions of the Lautenberg Amendment?

This position requires the employee to carry a firearm. The employee must be proficient in the use of assigned firearms/weapons, pass an initial qualification, and must qualify semi-annually thereafter in the use of assigned firearms/weapons. Employee is required to sign DD Form 2760, Qualification to Possess Firearms or Ammunition. Are you willing to submit to initial and semi-annual firearm/weapons qualification?

This position requires the employee to wear a uniform and maintain a high standard of appearance and hygiene while on duty. Are you willing to wear the appropriate uniform while on duty?

This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. Are you willing to undergo pre-employment and recurring investigations to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance as required?

You must have successfully graduated from the United States Army Civilian Police Academy (USACPA);
OR have a current approved waiver/exemption or grandfathered from the Office of the Provost Marshal General;
OR you agree to complete the Required training within one year of your hire date.

This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health & ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident. In accordance with AR 190-56 dated 15 March 2013, employees must pass a physical agility test (PAT) within 30 days of hiring date and must pass the PAT annually thereafter. The physical agility test includes executing 19 pushups in two minutes and a 1.5 mile run in 17:30 minutes. The PAT is a requirement that must be met in order to continue employment. Do you agree to submit to a physical agility test (PAT) within the first 30 days of hire and annually thereafter AND understand that failure to pass the test will result in possible termination from employment?

This position is covered by the Individual Reliability Program (IRP), and has been designated by Department of Army as critical to the national or internal security IAW AR 190-56. The IRP provides a means of assessing the reliability and suitability of individuals being considered for employment, and for continuous assessment of personnel assigned to civilian police and security guard positions. Employees and prospective employees of this job are expected to maintain a high standard of conduct. They must be assessed for social adjustment, emotional stability, sound judgment, dependability, flexibility in adjusting to changes, ability to work effectively under pressure or emergency conditions, and a positive attitude toward his/her duties. Appointment to this position is subject to a two year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights. Are you willing to serve a two year probationary period?
