Assessment 1
Specialized experience for the GS-14 is one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This includes:
-Keeping Congress informed of problems and deficiencies in Department programs and operations; AND
-Representing and interacting with officials in or out of the government to explain, promote, and resolve issues relating to an agency's mission; AND
-Writing briefing papers, presentations, and executive correspondence.
