Operate gasoline and diesel-powered heavy mobile equipment in the performance of road maintenance activities

Operate a variety of engineering equipment, including motor graders, dump trucks, loaders/backhoes, loaders with buckets and/or booms, asphalt pavers, skid loaders, etc.

Operate equipment in all different, sometimes extreme weather conditions, on steep mountainous roads, and in confined or heavily congested areas.
6.
Operate equipment to perform work over rough and difficult terrain in all kinds of weather conditions, and in confined or heavily congested areas.

Perform pre-start inspections on heavy equipment, heavy trucks and tractors/trailers.
8.
Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment such as but not limited to greasing, adding fluids and changing cutting edges/wear surfaces.

Make minor repairs and adjustments to heavy equipment.
