2. To qualify at the GS-11 grade level:

Do you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-09) grade level? Specialized experience is defined as experience in or directly related to the 0801 series occupational series in the federal government.

3. To qualify at the GS-12 grade level: Do you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-11) grade level?

Specialized experience is defined as, but no limited to: professional engineering experience required is defined as non-routine engineering work that required and was characterized by (1) professional knowledge of engineering; (2) professional ability to apply such knowledge to engineering problems; and (3) positive and continuing development of professional knowledge and ability. Such engineering experience would include a working knowledge of engineering, construction, cost estimating, project management on highly complex projects; demonstrated ability reading, preparing, and interpreting architectural, structural, civil, industrial hygiene, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical plans and drawings; experience successfully running an engineering construction project from conception to completion; experience working on design teams, using flow diagrams, conceptual layouts, and construction estimation; and experience in the use of computerized drafting, equipment, and fullsize drawing production/reproduction, such as the latest in AutoCAD.
