Assessment 1
Specialized experience for the GS-09 is one year of experience at the GS-07 level, or equivalent, that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position that includes:

- Collecting and reviewing information related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and/or the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA); AND
- Researching laws, regulations, guidelines, or procedures; AND
- Providing draft technical assistance and guidance, orally and in writing, on accessibility guidelines and standards.

OR
You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: A master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D, if related. (Attach a copy of transcripts to ensure you receive proper credit). OR

You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Credit will be given for partial experience so long as specialized experience and or required education or training meet or exceed the minimal level required for the position. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.
