This position is open to applicants Area 1, 2, and 3 applicants. What is your current area of consideration?
AREA 1: Current permanent and indefinite technicians of the Nebraska Army or Air National Guard; and current Title 5 employees of the Nebraska Military Department who are military members of the Nebraska National Guard.
AREA 2: All Drill Status/M-Day members and temporary technicians of the Nebraska Air or Army National Guard.
AREA 3: Current military service members who are willing and eligible to become members of the Nebraska Air or Army National Guard.
AREA 4: All qualified candidates eligible and willing to become a member of the Nebraska National Air or Army National Guard prior to the effective date of hire.

Selectee will obtain and maintain DODi 8570.01-M Certification within 6 months of appointment, waiverable to 12 months. Initial training will be provided at the expense of the government. Exam fees may be reimbursed after successful exam completion. Do you understand failure to comply with this requirement may cause removal from the position?

Do you possess experience, education or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems?

Do you possess at least 12 months experience, education, or training in translating detailed logical steps developed by others into data that can be inputted into software applications and agency computer systems. Experience interviewing subject-matter personnel to get facts regarding work processes, and synthesizing the resulting data into charts showing information flow?

Do possess at least 24 months experience, education, or training in analysis of the interrelationship of pertinent components of the system. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment. Experience scheduling the sequence of programs to be processed by computers where alternatives had to be weighed with a view to production efficiency?

Do you possess at least 36 months experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion?

Plan, coordinate, install, and analyze system design, hardware and software to install solutions and upgrades to ensure availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of all components of the assigned system.

Provides Information Assurance systems support for all disciplines, ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.

Serve as a focal point for ensuring functionality and operability of the assigned IT/data systems/functions, voice and wireless systems to support mission requirements of Wing, GSU and Tenants.
8.
Provide customer technical assistance and support for all users and provide ongoing technical support to customers to ensure proper functional use of equipment and programs.
9.
Determine customer requirements and assist customers by recognizing and analyzing trends and providing instructions and orientation services.
10.
Respond to trouble reports by analyzing problems, providing solutions, and recommending actions necessary to avoid future difficulties such as enhancing, replacing, and modifying existing programs, applications and equipment.
11.
Provide formal and informal training to ensure users understand the interrelationships of the system and are able to operate the system without undue difficulty.
12.
Prepare user manual or instruction for assigned applications.
13.
Conduct feasibility studies to identify and analyze system failures and analyzes data to determine if trends exist which forecast the need for future replacement or modification of system hardware and software.
14.
Use detailed knowledge of concepts, principles, methods, and practices with sophisticated diagnostic equipment and complex diagnostic software to identify and resolve internal system and network conflicts.
