Tests the units upon completion of the repair to ensure that the air is conditioned, or equipment is repaired according to requirements.

Determines when equipment must be shut down or reset to adjust the systems for proper temperature, humidity, and air flow control.

Possess a working knowledge of commercial refrigeration to maintain, trouble shoot and repair walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines refrigerators, etc.

Possess knowledge of heating principles and practices, utilizing steam and hot water, to locate and repair heating problems as they occur.
7.
Reads blueprints of machinery and systems to determine faults in systems.
8.
Utilize manufacturer's pamphlets and commercial trade catalogs to prepare requests for repair parts and materials.
9.
Skill in the use of tools (i.e. air flow hood, velocity meter, refrigerant recovery devices, volt meters, leak testers, gauges, and recording meters.) to service air conditioning systems.
10.
Skill in the use of various hand and power tools, including those associated with pipefitting and sheet metal trades, to service air conditioning systems.
11.
Tests water in all cooling towers and closed loop systems to inspect for residual chemical levels and for the control of alkalinity, algae, and scale formation.
12.
Refers to supply lists and manufacturers' catalogs to properly replace components or parts.
13.
Troubleshoots malfunctions in advanced equipment and systems, using numerous testing techniques and devices, to test equipment.
14.
Pinpoint sources of trouble to determine the nature and extend of repairs or adjustments needed.
