Specialized Experience: Do you possess specialized experience for the WG-8 Level which includes at least 12 months experience or training in applying a variety of electric resistance welding methods and equipment, or one or more manual weld process, to carry out standard weld operations; experience determining the welding techniques and machine settings to be used, to assemble and set up the parts to be welded (using jigs and fixtures), and make required welds following guides and oral or written instructions from the supervisor; experience welding to meet specifications and to assure proper penetration and freedom from pockets, scales and other defects?

Specialized Experience: Do you possess specialized experience for the WG-10 Level which includes at least 18 months experience or training demonstrating the application of a variety of electric resistance welding processes and equipment; experience in using accepted trade methods and a variety of manual welding processes to weld all types of commonly used metals in various shapes, sizes and thicknesses; experience using a wider range of metal welding processes to make more difficult welds meeting close tolerance, strength and other requirements (these welds may be in hard to reach places); experience which allows the welder to devise special jigs and fixtures to hold the parts to be welded; experience which demonstrates knowledge of several related trade procedures; experience which enables the lay out and planning of work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications and work orders?

5. Use templates, jigs, blueprints, and other guides to repair, modify, or fabricate metal items including repair of light or intricately made mechanical parts, which must fit in assemblies where close tolerances are required.
