Assist in the repair/replacement of interior and exterior building items such as doors, shelves, hardware, frame structures, windows, trim, and cabinets, siding, stairs, thresholds, broken planks on decks, benches, or picnic tables.

Identify a variety of boat types and structures which require different inspection and decontamination.

Inspect and decontaminate boats to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species in the park.

Assist protection division in identifying non-compliant boaters in relation to aquatic nuisance species (i.e., Zebra and Quagga Mussel) prevention leading to warnings and citations.

Maintain general cleanliness of grounds, mow, rake, edge, and water lawns, trim trees and shrubbery, remove weeds and debris from flower beds and other landscape features pick up litter from grounds and roadsides.

Educate visitors while staffing launch ramps for lake, backcountry or wilderness use regarding the requirements for backcountry hiking and camping, waste disposal, boater safety and graffiti regulations, and the reasons for the regulations.

Inspect facilities and check for compliance with rules and regulations pertaining to aquatic nuisance species and brings problems or violations to the attention of visitors.

Interpret instructions, specifications, etc. related to motor vehicle equipment operations and a wide variety of manual labor tasks.
